On Sunday 5 June Evolution Pantomimes, in partnership with The Octagon Theatre, held open auditions for Juvenile Ensemble dancers and Lost Boys for this year’s professional month-long productions of ‘Peter Pan’.
The day began bright and early with the girls being put through their paces by Choreographer Jess Oldfield who led a warm up and then taught a challenging routine. However, the auditions didn’t stop there… The boys were also invited to take part in an acting workshop with Producer Emily Wood, being given a scene which they could present in any way they chose before going on to read for John and Michael in pairs.
All applicants performed incredibly well – this year’s audition process proved to be the strongest yet – and selecting the final teams was no easy task.
We would like to offer huge congratulations to all the talented children who took part in the auditions on Sunday and we are delighted to present our fantastic new teams for this year’s production of ‘Peter Pan’.
‘Peter Pan’ runs from Friday 2 December to Sunday 1 January and tickets are on sale now via the Box Office (01935 422884) and online: www.octagon-theatre.co.uk
