Zoie Golding, Artistic Director of ZoieLogic has been awarded the second bursary as part of The Octagon Theatre Dance Development project and is now The Octagon Associate Choreographer.
Zoie will be working closely alongside the project to support dance artists in Somerset and will be in residence at the theatre for Spring/Summer 2015. The company first performed at The Octagon in September 2014 at the very beginning of the project and so this is a fantastic way to strengthen the relationship between Zoie, her company, and The Octagon Theatre and Take Art.
Adam Burgan, Arts & Entertainment Manager at The Octagon Theatresaid, “We are delighted that Zoie will be our Associate Choreographer and that audiences across South Somerset will have the opportunity to engage with her work in a more immersive way. Zoie is a dynamic and engaging artist and she really does put the audience at the heart of her work particularly working to develop new audiences and introduce people to contemporary dance for the first time. We are excited to be working with her and are looking forward to her creating work and bringing her energy, passion and skills to Somerset.”
Zoie will return the theatre in January 2016 to start rehearsals for her next piece and will be performing her current work Safe in February 2016.
Zoie Golding, Artistic Director of ZoieLogic said, “I am extremely pleased to be Associate Choreographer at The Octagon Theatre.
